Xiamara is a new Empires and Puzzles’ Clash of Knights Hero, and a member of the Stag Family. But the reason I’ve called you in today is to discuss the full-steam Freight Train of pain this one brings to the battlefield.
In testing, I sat her next to the hotly-anticipated HotM Neema and can tell you, it was crazy to see the difference in payload.
Xiamara is a ticking time bomb of destruction, as I hope to illustrate.
If you’re interested, I covered all of the new Clash of Knights Heroes, over here (Beta).
Before we get started, a quick update on the Think Tank.
I have now officially formed the group, and will begin updating the Hero Ranking Page momentarily.
Any changes or new grades will also be tracked on the Blog Log.
OK, let’s get on with it!
Caveat: This post contains gameplay speculation and personal opinion. It may also contain adult comedy, sarcasm, and Human error. It is not advice and is solely for entertainment and informational purposes.

Chasing Xiamara’s Big Bang! (Empires and Puzzles)
I’ve got an addictive personality and always have. It’s a risky thing to manage.
For that reason, I’ve never tried hardcore drugs. -I simply wouldn’t make it.
That’s exactly why the strong pain pills that were supposed to help me sleep following my Wisdom Tooth removal, stayed in their container.
Can’t risk it! -I know me.
And so when I tested Xiamara, it was unsettling to feel those unhealthy urges arising;
I would sacrifice any Hero just to see how far I could push her, chasing that next superduper damage stat. And when she’d hit again, I’d catch myself smirking like I had just found someone’s bag of marbles in the playground at playtime. ~Looking over my shoulder to see if anyone noticed.
The devil was on my shoulder and dopamine was bursting into my system like a lemon drop after a week of Keto.
I was a man possessed!
Xiamara is a monster with a tremendous ability to inflict pain.
She’s a bad Woman!
Xiamara Vs. The Hitters of Empires and Puzzles
Before the table, here’s the thing, I was getting some crazy numbers out of Xiamara in Beta, which is why I wanted to write this review.
When Xiamara first appeared in Beta the Special called for a +100% increase in power, followed by +50% (not the +25% we have now), and with a max-total of +300% (opposed to the +200% we have now).
Xiamara’s first hit: 754, 603, 597, 584, 635
Xiamara’s second hit: 1241, RIP, 1123, 992, 1159 (after 2 turns at +50% = +200%)
So these numbers should represent the approximate hit value today if you allowed Xiamara to collect the +25% Power for 4 turns.
Onto the Table…
|Hero||Mana Speed||Damage||Secondary||ATK Stat||Total Hit Score|
|Xiamara||Average (10 tiles)||Deals 300% damage to all enemies||More power next attack and Mana Punishment||1019||15,285|
|Xiamara 2nd||Average (10 tiles)||+200% max power||Mana Punishment||1019||25,475|
|Brimstone||Average (10 tiles)||Deals 200% damage to all enemies||Summons Fiends that do loads, included reduced Defense, plus Passive does 180% damage||939||9,390|
|C. Guardian Kong||Average (10 tiles)||Deals 300% damage to all enemies||Allies reflect Status Effects and 115% damage back to the attacker… /Ice. Dispels buffs from all enemies||848||12,720|
|Sobek||Average (10 tiles)||Deals 290% damage to all enemies||Attack bypasses defensive buffs||859||12,455|
|Hachiko||Average (10 tiles)||Deals 270% damage to all enemies||All Allies counterattack for 80% for 4 turns, plus +40% Crit Chance||877||11,839|
|Quenell||Fast (8 tiles)||Deals 320% damage to 3||More power next attack (+40%)||795||7,632|
|Edwin||Fast (8 tiles)||Deals 250% damage to all enemies||Attack bypasses defensive buffs. Can’t cleanse from Specials for 3 turns||922||11,525|
|C. Guardian Panther||Fast (8 tiles)||Deals 285% damage to all enemies||All enemies get -34% Defense against Dark and are immune to new buffs for 3 turns||819||11,670|
(Total Hit Score = Atk Stat x Damage % x Number of targets)
Brimstone is devastating. Every time he fires up his Construct Core, my Heroes get to journeying towards the light.
Some other notable Heroes here, but look at Xiamara!
Xiamara’s Mana Corruption (Empires and Puzzles)
Xiamara is not only a damage inflicter, she also has a powerful Secondary.
Albeit, it’s situational; Mana Punishment.
This part of the Special is incredibly wordy and isn’t easy to quickly understand. I guess bullet points might help.
So, for 4 turns All enemies receive “Mana Corruption” where if they receive mana from an “additional source”, they receive 250 damage.
What’s an additional source?
- Direct Mana addition from Special Skills,
- Status Effects,
- Level Properties,
- Passive Skills,
- Family Effects,
- Tile Effects,
- and Minions.
- Or additional Mana gained from a Mana generation Buff or Positive Mana Generation Stack.
Most of us will be concerned for our Heroes who provide mana in some way and that’s a lot of Heroes!
-So this could be a real pain to deal with.
But again, Xiamara is so heavy-handed that it will be hard to monitor and manage this Secondary when you’re already nursing a busted-up head.
You’ll be too busy trying to stop her from working up into a frenzy again.
And the rest of her build protects her! From her Aether Power which grants immunity to new Status Ailments for 6 turns, to her Family Bonus that increases her Attack when you try to reduce it!
Xiamara (Empires and Puzzles)
My final thoughts:
Xiamara acts like Quenell’s bigger, and more violent, sister.
And I must admit, it’s getting wild out here. It’s proper Land of the Giants at the mo.
Just the other day, a death squad of Raiders turned up at my Watchtower and some of my team actually greeted them with a notepad and pen in hand, trying to take meal orders and get them seated. These chumps were trying to hand over my Trophy Cups in doggy bags!
Despite this, my Raid Squad, fighting tooth and nail, somehow managed to claw us above 3K Cups!
Malosi was celebrating like we had achieved something momentous. He already had the Champagne and Ski Goggles out before I could stop him.
I mean, what can you say?
I put on the Goggles and took a sip.
Hero Grade for Xiamara
So for my grading, the question is:
Is this Hero’s Special capable of/likely to change the outcome of a battle? Yes.
If not, do they still bring enough to the party to help defeat the deities? N/a.
