Games I’m Currently Playing in 2024 (PS5, PC, & Mobile)
I wanted to list the games I’m currently playing and offer a line or two about how I’m finding them.
For example, I play Guild Wars 2 every now and then but haven’t written a review about it. So I’ll add it to this page with a few paragraphs about its qualities.
And you’re welcome to offer your own opinions, or make suggestions, in the comments below.
What you won’t find here are the games I’m currently playing that I do have reviews for. Such as:

OK, starting with the most recent addition, here we go!

Euro Truck Sim 2 (Currently Playing on the PC)
I didn’t think I’d enjoy Euro Truck Sim 2, but reading all the positive reviews convinced me to give it a shot, especially as it was on sale.
So far, I’ve taken out a loan to purchase my first truck and am now deep in debt… Just like a real-life mortgage.
However, it’s the driving and scenery that are the real stars of Euro Truck Sim 2. The aesthetics are pleasant and immersive, while the gameplay is totally relaxing.
This is one wheel that it’s safe to fall asleep behind.
Stardew Valley (Currently Playing on the PS5)
Playing Stardew Valley is like living a second life but with less stress.
The premise is that you’re a pixelated character who inherited a small farm and things just go from there.
It’s simple, peaceful, and a great co-op. I’ve been playing it with my wife on the PlayStation 5 but it’s also available on the PC and Mobile.
Red Dead Redemption 2 (Currently Playing on the PS5)
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an old game but watching Yellowstone has convinced me to revisit it.
I plan to start over and try the Online mode for the first time (I just re-downloaded it today).
Update: The screenshot above is from Red Dead Online. Feels very cool atm.
Guild Wars 2 (Currently Playing on the PC)
I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 for a while, recently reaching that pivotal level 80 milestone. HOWEVER, I still struggle with this game.
GW2 is definitely better when playing with a group or with a friend, otherwise, it quickly loses its charm.
I keep trying with Guild Wars 2 (because I really want to love it), which is why it’s on this list. However, I’ve long given up on similar titles like Elite Dangerous and No Man’s Sky.

Thanks for sharing. I play Empires & Puzzles and UNO. Playing Scrabble GO, sometimes, but it is a poorly put together game. No incentive…lots of ads, no way to just play without spending $.

Hey Sam, thank you for the support. Yes, I play E&P everyday and recently covered the Fated and Soul Exchange.
There is something in the wings that might mean I’ll be able to write more about Empires and Puzzles in future, but I’m waiting for it to fall into place.
If it happens, I’ll likely write much more on E&P but if it doesn’t, then things will remain infrequent.
We shall see, but I’m currently quite hopeful.
THANKS, I will start checking in more frequently! I am doing my happy dance! Just don’t get overextended to the point where it affects your life negatively.
