WWE Invasion! Empires & Puzzles BETA Guide /All Heroes
The WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is coming to Empires & Puzzles in the form of a special 7-day Event.
The Event features ten WWE Stars, five of which are unlocked, and five that require you to beat levels to access.
In this post, I’m going to give you an overview of the Event, the Heroes, and my suggestions for what their Special Skills should be.
I’ve been so busy in real life, but I had to make time to share this news.
Many of us remember watching wrestling as kids, and I’m sure many of us still do.
Before we get started, please note that this is all from Beta, and so some things may change before we see it in-game, if at all.

WWE Event Quest (Empires and Puzzles)
The WWE Event Quest is quite similar to the Starter Quest that new players complete when first entering the game.
While you can use your own Heroes in this Event, you’re gifted access to five WWE Superstar Heroes and incentivised to use them due to their massive Power Stats.
The featured WWE Stars can only be used in the WWE Event. You can not use them anywhere else.
The WWE Hero Cards resemble the Dragonspire-shaped cards, featuring photos of the WWE star inside.
Each battle is fought inside a wrestling ring, and some Special Skills incorporate wrestling moves.
One thing you’ll notice with this WWE Event is the lack of Battle Items that are typically utilised in regular Events.
During Beta testing, I was able to auto-play the first eight stages; however, the last two required closer attention.
I also noticed that the WWE Energy Flags (used to play a stage) were capped at 20 and were quite expensive to refill, costing 50 Gems a go.
That wasn’t a huge problem, though, as the Event runs for 7 days, which is plenty of time for the flags to refill themselves.
As with other Events, you can pay to continue after a defeat, returning to battle to collect a late victory.
It is not clear what the rewards will be for the Event, as in Beta, there were none (at least for me).
I would expect that to change when/if it goes live.
There was no Summon Portal associated with this Event in Beta.
All Heroes: WWE Guest Event, Empires and Puzzles
There are 10 featured WWE Heroes in the WWE Guest Event.
All of them are 5-Star Heroes, and they all enjoy seriously powerful Power Stats.

The WWE Superstar Family Bonus: Bonus for 2/3/4/5 Heroes: +3%/+6%/+10%/+15% Attack.
John Cena (WWE Invasion!)
Key Facts: Ice (Blue), Average, Fighter, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Attitude Adjustment): 1. Deals 550% damage to the target. 2. Grapples the target. While grappled, the target’s normal attack is reduced to 1 and the target takes 936 damage over 4 turns.
Passive Skills: TECHNICIAN ~ +20% Health, +20% Defense.
My Thoughts and Suggestions:
Is it just me, or is this a massive missed opportunity?

Morris has been waiting his entire life for this moment. Just take his pic out and put John Cena’s in. Done.
Or, they should allude to the fact that none of us can see John Cena. Here’s my suggestion:
Special Skills (Comes without shadow): 1. Removes all Status Buffs from all enemies and Cleanses Caster. 2. Caster inflicts Blindness on all enemies for 4 turns.
Blindness:
- All enemies receive 150% damage each turn
- At the end of their turn, seeking revenge, they attack a random Hero for 200%
- They can not attack the Caster while Blind
CM Punk (WWE in Empires & Puzzles)
Key Facts: Nature (Green), Slow, Barbarian, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Go To Sleep): 1. Deals 750% damage to the target. 2. The target falls asleep and receives +46% increased damage while sleeping (A sleeping character cannot gain mana or attack. The sleeping target is woken once it takes damage. This excludes damage from Minions, Fiends, Mega Minions and Mega Fiends. This effect is uncleansable.).
Passive Skills: POWERHOUSE ~ +40% Health, +40% Defense.
My Thoughts and Suggestions:
I’ve watched some CM Punk, but not much. He appeared towards the end of my WWE time.
That said, he’s a smaller and faster wrestler, so not SLOW, as his Mana Speed is here.
I do remember the epic speech [YouTube] he gave before his first exit from the WWE, and so my Special Skills for him would be…
Special Skills (I’m The Best, AKA, Mic Dropper, AKA, Bunch of Ass Kissers): 1. Caster swings microphone around, hitting the two Heroes on the wings who must endure 1-on-1 run-downs. 2. From that point on, targeted Heroes lose self-esteem and 500 HP per turn for the rest of the battle (this effect cannot be cleansed).
Shawn Michaels (Empires & Puzzles)
Key Facts: Fire (Red), Fast, Rogue, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Sweet Chin Music): 1. Deals 450% damage to the target. 2. The target gets -20% attack for 3 turns.
Passive Skills: STRIKER ~ -10% Health, +10% Attack.
My Thoughts and Suggestions:
Wow, Shawn Michaels. Crazy to think I’m talking about wrestlers we grew up watching.
That said, Shawn Michaels was a bit of a Baddie, to say the least.
Can you believe the Montreal Screwjob was in 1997?
I didn’t watch it live, but I was soon aware of it.
It looked real to me, [YouTube] but who knows?
Anyway, I’d go with…
Special Skills (Ring The Bell): 1. Puts the target enemy into a Sharpshooter, dealing 200% damage per turn. 2. If the target is undefeated after 2 turns, the bell is rung, and the target loses all HP, becoming defeated. 3. Sharpshooter spreads to nearby enemies whenever a Hero with it is defeated.
Triple H (WWE in Empires & Puzzles)
Key Facts: Holy (Yellow), Slow, Barbarian, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Pedigree): 1. Deals 300% damage to the target and nearby enemies. 2. All allies regenerate 900 HP over 3 turns.
Passive Skills: POWERHOUSE ~ +40% Health, +40% Defense.
My Thoughts and Suggestions:
Triple H’s Special looks alright, and his Mana Speed fits (Slow).
He’s definitely a slower, yet more powerful wrestler.
It’s worth noting that Triple H actually heals here, which is helpful for completing Event stages.
Let’s use his card to take a look at the WWE Hero Power Stats:
ATK: 2111 DEF: 2274 HP: 5356
That’s without Limit Breakers or Talents. (Featured WWE Stars have basic Hero Cards.)
Compare those stats with, say, Claeg, the current HOTM:
ATK: 1534 DEF: 1423 HP: 2707
The Power Stats difference is what makes it so hard to play this Event with your regular Heroes, because the enemy Heroes are designed to fight these guys!
Bianca Belair (Empires & Puzzles)
Key Facts: Fire (Red), Fast, Sorcerer, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (K.O.D): 1. Deals 250% damage to the target and nearby enemies. 2. All allies regenerate 600 HP over 3 turns.
Passive Skills: STRIKER ~ -10% Health, +10% Attack.
My Thoughts and Suggestions:
Bianca is a newer Superstar who appeared after my time watching WWE.
I wish I could write Specials for all of them, but we’d need older wrestlers that I can remember!
As an E&P Hero, Bianca targets three enemies at 250%, which is useful for her speed (Fast), and she is the other healer in this pack!

Roman Reigns /LOCKED (WWE Invasion!)
Key Facts: Dark (Purple), Slow, Fighter, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Spear): 1. Deals 650% damage to the target. 2. The attack has a 25% chance to bypass defensive buffs (This includes counterattack).
Passive Skills: POWERHOUSE ~ +40% Health, +40% Defense.
My Thoughts and Suggestions:
As you complete levels, you will be rewarded with the locked WWE Superstars.
I was able to auto-play my way up to the last stage in this Event; however, in my haste to see what rewards you’ll earn, I paid to continue the final level.
So while I suspect the Heroes you have here are strong enough to beat the Event, I can’t verify it 100%.
One more thing I should point out: The Passives.
That POWERHOUSE Passive buffs the Hero for +40% Health and Defense. Pretty substantial.
In Beta, all the Slow Heroes have it. That’s CM Punk, Triple H, and Roman Reigns.
Cody Rhodes /LOCKED (Empires & Puzzles)
Key Facts: Ice (Blue), Average, Sorcerer, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Cross Rhodes): 1. Deals 550% damage to the target. 2. The target has a 20% chance to get 771 Bleed damage over 3 turns.
Passive Skills: TECHNICIAN ~ +20% Health, +20% Defense.
Rhea Ripley /LOCKED (WWE in Empires & Puzzles)
Key Facts: Dark (Purple), Average, Fighter, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Riptide): 1. Deals 200% damage to all enemies.
Passive Skills: TECHNICIAN ~ +20% Health, +20% Defense.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins /LOCKED (Empires & Puzzles)
Key Facts: Holy (Yellow), Average, Ranger, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (The Stomp): 1. Deals 500% damage to the target. 2. The target gets -20% attack for 3 turns.
Passive Skills: TECHNICIAN ~ +20% Health, +20% Defense.
Charlotte Flair /LOCKED (WWE Invasion!)
Key Facts: Nature (Green), Fast, Monk, WWE Superstar
Special Skills (Figure-8-Leglock): 1. Deals 450% damage to the target. 2. Grapples the target. While grappled, the target’s normal attack is reduced to 1 and the target takes 411 damage over 3 turns.
Passive Skills: STRIKER ~ -10% Health, +10% Attack.
WWE Stars In Empires & Puzzles
My final thoughts:
Seeing WWE Stars in Empires and Puzzles is intriguing because I can’t remember seeing licensed content used in this way before.
Games like Fortnite, the PC and PS5 shooter, often feature new characters to purchase from globally recognised brands. Is that what we’re going to start seeing here?
Or is this a one-off?

Is it a bug? John Cena’s card was empty.
😁 That’s what they should have done! It would have been a mystery until you hit his special.
Maybe when it will come to event I will change my opinion but this this kind of events are telling me that E&P is slowly bit my thing.
the game play, the animation and the level itself, in Beta, looked really cheap… they also all stand out like a huge sore thumb in contrast to the art and characters of the mythical legends of all the rest of the heroes. I really hope this is a one and done. it feels like a desperate money grab. it really took me out of the game that the cards are photos, too. bad decision and bad execution.
