Summer Collection (Royal Match Card Guide)

Summer Collection - Royal Match Card Collection Guide

Royal Match’s Summer Collection (a Card Collection quest) has just begun, so in this post, I’m going to explain how it works and take a closer look at this fresh iteration of the event.

For those unaware, the Summer Collection is just another version of the Royal Collection, and you can find my complete guide for both over here.

As with the Royal Collection, you’ll need to collect the required Cards to earn the Grand Prize Chest and 10,000 coins.

Let’s take a quick look at the Summer Collection and scan for any differences…

This post may contain speculation, personal opinion, and comedy. It is not advice and is solely for entertainment and informational purposes.

Is the Summer Collection the Same as the Royal Collection? (Royal Match Cards)

Mainly.

The time limit is the same (62 days), the prizes appear to be the same (10K and Boosters), and the Card Star Chests have exactly the same rewards inside.

In fact, the only differences I can see, besides the Summer Time aesthetics, are the Cards and the Collection Sets.

Summer Collection and Royal Collection Side by Side
Summer Collection Vs Royal Collection (Royal Match)

For example, instead of Collection Sets with a Royal Castle theme, like:

  • Guest Room
  • Butler
  • Blacksmith
  • Shipyard
  • and so on

The Summer Collection has themes around Summer, like:

  • Holiday
  • Beach
  • Picnic
  • Amusement
  • and so on

There is one other noticeable difference; a new completion badge:

My final thoughts:

If you’re looking for a more in-depth guide for the Summer Collection, something that covers questions like:

  • How do I Gift Cards to Friends?
  • How do I Use Duplicate Cards?
  • What are Card Stars and Chests?
  • How do I unlock the Grand Summer Collection?
  • And more…

Then please read my complete Royal Collection Card Guide.

  1. I haven’t checked out the Summer Collection yet but I hope that they have made one improvement – allowing friends to gift ‘gold’ cards! For the whole of the last week of the Royal Collection, I was three gold cards away from completing my second set of 135 and could do very little about it. Extremely frustrating.

    1. Hey Tim, yea it’s still too early to check (gold cards). I was in a similar position as I mentioned in the King’s Cup post, but it was the Red Card Pack that put me over.

On that note, I noticed that the most recent King’s Cup didn’t include a Red Card Pack in the first place loot, but instead a Purple Pack… I hope they alternate because that’s a decent reward for what is a long and difficult challenge.

Hope you/we manage to complete the Collection this time!

  2. I finished the 2nd badge in Royal Collection 14 days prior to the deadline.
After that, I stopped receiving card packages, but was still able to trade my remaining cards.
The game got really boring afterwards, and my wishes for the summer collection are either a 3rd badge or being able to keep collecting cards to help my clan mates.

    1. Hello Jasper, the Gold Cards are drawn randomly, although with a Red Card Pack you’ll get at least one, if you are missing only missing Gold Cards.

I find it best to get all the other cards, trading with teammates and friends, then using Stars to get the Red Pack only when I have the un-tradable Gold Cards left to collect.
