Hero Coach: Guide & Thoughts (Empires & Puzzles)
The Hero Coach is a new Empires & Puzzles feature that will let you completely level up a Hero with a simple press of a button.
It is scheduled to run from March 27th to 30th, 2025, and in this post, I want to quickly review what I’ve discovered so far.

Hero Coach: How Does It Work & What Does It Cost? (Empires & Puzzles)
Hero Coach allows you to completely level up a Hero with the press of a button; however, there are some criteria:
- You can only level up one Hero per Hero Coach Event
- Only Legendary (5-Star) Heroes are applicable
- The Hero must have been released at least 700 days before the start of the Event
- Costumes can’t be levelled
- The chosen Hero will be levelled all the way up to the current MAX (double limit broken)

You press the CHOOSE A HERO button, which will let you choose from your roster.
At which point, you will be shown the cost in the TRAIN button box below.
The base cost in Beta for a completely unlevelled Hero was 1000 Gems.
However, the cost will change depending on the current level of the Hero chosen.
For example, if you have started levelling a Hero, as I had with the Krampus I tested, the cost will be reduced.
In my case, Krampus was level 3, and the price was reduced to 992 Gems.
In Beta, it seems that no Ascension Materials were used/required at all. -So the Gem payment is all that is required.
It is also worth noting that the final-levelled Hero will not have Talents added.

My final thoughts:
I think the Hero Coach is a good idea that many will embrace.
I like the idea of being able to quickly level key Heroes you might have picked up but are being delayed for whatever reason.
For instance, an old Taunt Hero that could be an asset to your current squad, or maybe something from the Soul Exchange.
Are any of them over 700 days old?
~That’s the thing: you’ll likely rely on the Hero Coach Portal to tell you rather than checking the birthdays of all your Heroes yourself.
Since I’ve started again, I don’t have any Heroes lined up for this, but I do like the idea.
Why 700 days, tho?

I think it is a great idea. Do you know how often this event will take place?
I am also interested in them adding a Trading Post on the grounds for weapons, goods, etc.
No idea at the moment but I imagine it will be relatively frequent since it cost quite a few gems 😁

This along with the recent Instant Power Summon are great for newer players. E & P should break down some of the walls that are up for entry level-intermediate players.
Definitely. It’s quite hard to gain traction as a new player. Wish there were more free pulls!
I’m curious which heroes people are elevating and why. 700+ days often takes them out of the current meta. I’m thinking about Esme, Kravenkrush, Quenell, Miki, or maybe another Reviver like Heimdall.

It’s a hard choice. I went for what I use and where I’d like to improve.
I think there is a difference, less pressure, if you take the cheap option as I did.

You’ve been missed! You were my absolute go to for updates in the game, FS suggestions, etc. I’m stuck on choosing Hulda, Krampus, El Naddaha or Fortuna for this hero coach event.

Looking at your chooses that is tough. I’ve always liked Hulda, always wanted her (a long time ago). If you read the post I linked to, I talk about Fiends and Fortuna looks great for that purpose.
Of course, El Naddaha is great for mid-tier PvP. And Taunt (Krampus) is great if you don’t already have it.
I think *purpose* is the key word. Where are you lacking? Where would you like to improve? Fortuna looks great for healing suppression (Fiend is 22% of targets max health), has a fast Dispel to all, plus -ATK if the Fiend is on face, but would you actually use her?
Anyway, lots of questions for you to consider which I hope helps!

Nice to find your commentary on this! We miss you ♡ As a free-to-play, and gem poor, would you recommend MN, Tinsel (85 to 90), or Tetisheri (82 to 90)? I do have 1 costume for both MN and Tetisheri. Thanks for the feedback wise one! Again, nice to see you!
Of course, your roster and playstyle make a load of difference. I wrote another post about how to decide which you should also check out.
In isolation, I would personally select Tetisheri. MN doesn’t convince me in today’s game (unless you use her actively or on defense). Of the other 2, Tetisheri has a costume, stats look decent based on forum, speedy, and special and passives look good.
They are at a high enough level to test to see how you feel using them.
That said, these are my thoughts at quick glance. Please get others.
